High Low Dice Evolution

High Low Dice from Darwin Gaming allows you to place bets on the roll of three dice, with the highest winning bet having a payout of 55 times your bet.

High Low Dice is a simple table game from Darwin Gaming. The game is similar to Banca Francesa, which means “French Bank”, a popular game from Portugal. Although it’s clearly a dice game, its origins are from both American and European roulette. Up until relatively recently, the game could only be found in Portuguese casinos, along with those of its former colony, Macau.

High Low Dice Information

High Low Dice relies on luck as the results are from three randomly spun dice. The dice fall onto the top half section of the screen, which features a dark green baize semi-circular table, with its bright mahogany apex pointing downwards. To add to the game’s laid-back ambience, there’s a loop of cool lounge music playing in the background.

The table is marked off into three betting areas that correspond to the following bets:

  • Aces: the sum of the dice is equal to 3.
  • Low: the sum of the dice is 5, 6 or 7.
  • High: the sum of the dice is 14, 15 or 16.

Along the base of the table are 5 chips with values of 1, 2, 5, 10 and 25 that can be dragged into the desired betting area. It’s also possible to move the chips between these areas as well as drag them out completely. There is a “double” option that allows a player to instantly double the bets as well as a “Clear” button that removes all bets from the table.

At the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, there is an Information link icon marked with three small parallel horizontal lines, which triggers a popup with a number of useful features, including one for setting Game Limits.

One of these allows the player to control the time between plays, ranging from just 1 second up to 10 seconds. Another sets the total time of the gaming session, ranging from 1 minute up to 1 hour. The third option shows the betting differential as you utilize your bankroll. These are great for keeping an eye on the length of your gaming sessions as well as your bankroll.

The Settings Menu allows you to mute the music. Skip Null Draws means that only valid results will be displayed in the separate History window. Finally, it’s possible to change the overall look of the table by toggling between Classic or Dark themes.

The Help Menu contains all the rules needed to play. At the bottom of the popup is the Paytable.

Pay Table

  • Aces - 55:1
  • High - 1:1
  • Low - 1:1

If any other total is rolled, the round is void and the bet is kept on the table for the next round.

How to Play High Low Dice

To start the game, choose a betting amount and move chips of that value into the desired betting area. Now hit the Play button to roll the dice. There’s also a Continuous Play feature that’s activated by holding the Play button which resets the game after a draw. Take note that once the dice start rolling, it’s not possible to change any bets.

Each betting position has both a minimum and a maximum bet. These are as follows:

  • Minimum Bet is defined by the casino.
  • Maximum Bet on Aces: up to 20x the minimum bet.
  • Maximum Bet on High/Low: up to 200x the minimum bet.

High Low Dice Payouts

As you can see from the Paytable, a winning bet on Aces pays out at 55x the stake. Both High and Low bets pay out at 1x the stake. As a given, with all winning wagers, the player receives their initial bet as well as the payout amount. However, failing to land one of the three winning options will see the bet returned to the player.
