Blackjack is one of the most popular casino card games in the world, it is easy to learn and can provide hours of fun and excitement. This is even truer when playing Live Blackjack. You will play against our professional dealers who are streamed to you in high definition, complete with audio, from a real casino floor. At the same time, you can interact with the dealer and your fellow players just as you would in a land casino, resulting in the most realistic experience possible without leaving your home.

How to Play Live Blackjack

Each of our Live Blackjack tables has seven seats and can accommodate an unlimited number of players thanks to the special Bet Behind feature, which is explained below. The game follows the standard Blackjack rules; the aim of the game is to build a hand of cards that is as close to 21 in value as possible but without going bust. At the end of a round, as long as your hand is closer to 21 than the dealer’s is then you have won.  When playing Blackjack the numbered cards are worth their face values, the face cards are all worth 10 and Aces are worth 1 or 11. This means that you can put together 21 with just two cards, and Ace and a 10 card. This is called Blackjack and it is the strongest possible hand.   At the start of each round you need to place your bet before the cards are dealt. Each player then receives two face up cards and the dealer receives one face up card and one facedown.   When it is your turn to play your hand you have a number of options. The standard ones are ‘Hit’, ‘Stand’ and ‘Double’. If you choose ‘Hit’ then the dealer will deal you another card to the hand, if you choose ‘Stand’ then you leave the hand as it is and play moves on to the next player, if you choose ‘Double’ then your bet will be doubled, you’ll receive one more card and then play moves on to the next player or the dealer.   When all players are finished, the dealer will play their hand. The dealer must draw to 16 and will stand on all 17s.  There are some circumstances when you will be given more options. If your first two cards have the same value then you can ‘Split’ them into two separate hands. You can then play each hand individually, giving you more chances to win.   If the dealer’s face up card is an Ace then you can take out ‘Insurance’ against them having Blackjack. Insurance costs half of your initial bet and if the dealer goes on to have Blackjack then you are paid out at 2:1.  At the end of a round winning hands are paid out at 1:1, except for Blackjack, which is paid at 3:2.

Live Blackjack Special Features

Live Blackjack has a number of special features that makes the game faster, more enjoyable, and gives you more chances to win.  As mentioned, the Bet Behind feature allows more than just seven players to participate at a table. You can see how players at a table are performing and if they are on a winning streak. You can then choose to Bet Behind them to try to increase your own chances of winning while you wait for a seat to become available.   The game also offers two exciting side bets, the Perfect Pairs and the 21+3. The Perfect Pairs side bet is on the first two cards forming either a Perfect Pair, a Coloured Pair or a Red/Black Pair. A Perfect Pair is two cards of the same suit and value, a Coloured Pair is two cards of the same value and colour, but from different suits, a Red/Black Pair is two cards of the same value but different suits and colours. The 21+3 side bet pays if your initial two cards and the dealer’s first card form a Flush, Straight, Three of a Kind, Straight Flush or Suited Three of a Kind combination.  The game also has a Pre-Decision feature that makes it even faster. It allows you to make a decision whether to Hit, Stand, Double or Split at the same time as the first player is playing his or her hand without having to wait for your turn. Thanks to this, the games can become far faster.
